The file «EKPA_paleo-proxies_Pliocene Aegean Sea» is a collection of paleo-proxies from the Cretan basin (South Aegean Sea. The data are exclusively from cores from deep sea basins (DSDP cores) and relate to targeted period: Pliocene Warm Period (PWP)- the high CO2 paleo-analogue of the "warm Pliocene" (5.3-3.0 million years) The file contains different sheets based on the included paleo-proxies (for DSDP Site 378 Core 3A and DSDP Site 378Core 11Z). Each sheet includes the necessary information for the included study and the available paleo-climatic proxies: • paleoclimatic bioindices of planktonic microorganisms (calcareous nannofossils) • stable isotopes • geochemical analyses of the sediment
