Description
The files include daily observations of mean, maximum and minimum air temperature, mean daily values of relative humidity and daily precipitation amount since 1901 in Athens. The data are derived from the historical climatic station of the National Observatory of Athens (the oldest climatic station of Greece). The station has been permanently established atT hissio, on the small Hill of Nymphs (latitude: 37.972 N, longitude: 23.717 E, altitude: 107 m above MSL) near the centre of Athens since the late 19th century, without relocations over the years. The timeseries are uninterrupted.
