Paleoclimate and paleoenvironmental proxies from the Eastern Mediterranean: data from the Holocene Climatic Optimum and the last 2kyr

Description

The file «paleo-proxies_2kyr and Holocene» is a collection of paleo-proxies data from the NE Mediterranean created by HCMR and University of Athens. The file «literature review paleo-proxies_2kyr and Holocene» is a collection of paleo-proxies from existing literature review. All data are related to the interval from the last 2 kyr to the Holocene Climatic Optimum. Each file contains different sheets based on the code/ name of the sediment core/lake/speleothem. Each sheet includes the necessary information for the included studies and the available paleo-climatic proxies, e.g.: • Stable isotopes and geochemical analyses of the sediment and planktonic organisms • Alkenones, paleotemperature and paleosalinity • Paleoclimatic bio-proxies of calcareous nannofossil, planktonic and benthic foraminifera • Pollen and spores paleovegetation proxies
